Biomedical Engineering and Equipment Service Co.
Inc. (BEESCO) offers a simple cost effective system
for continuous temperature monitoring of EMS
pharmaceuticals. The system employs Thermochron
temperature recording I-buttons. Each Thermochron
I-Button stores 1024 date and time stamped
temperature readings. Data is retrieved through a
standard personal computer serial connection. The
data can be imported directly into Excel or similar
software for analysis. The Thermochron I-Button can
be programmed to record temperatures at intervals
from 1 minute to 255 minutes. A sample interval of
20 minutes provides 28 days of temperature
monitoring. A one hour sample interval provides 90
days of monitoring. Thermochron I-Buttons s may be
reprogrammed for other missions and reused over and
over. They have a typical life of five years
Customers may purchase Thermochron I-Buttons;
software and the I-Button reader for use with there
own computer system or BEESCO can provide a
temperature monitoring service.
With our temperature monitoring service, the
customer is mailed a supply of Thermochron I-Buttons
preprogrammed for a sample rate specified by the
customer. When the Thermochron I-Button has filled
with temperature data the customer will mail them
back to BEESCO via a supplied prepaid mailer. The
data will be retrieved and then emailed back to the
customer. Replacement Thermochron I-Buttons will
then be sent to the customer for the next cycle of
temperature monitoring.
